Pickled mackerel.
I want some pickled mackerel. I want some pickled mackerel VERY BADLY. I had some for lunch the other day, and for dinner last week, and I have actually wanted to eat it every single meal for the whole week but I can't afford saba sashimi every day and Uwajimaya is so far away, even though they'd sell me big chunks of pickled mackerel for cheap.

PICKLED MACKEREL NOM NOM NOM all oily and salty and sweet and briny and fishy and WANT

Actually, now I want some. I haven't had any in many, many years, but it was always a staple at my Oma's house. Wonder if there is any place around here to get some.

I'm very fond of sil, aka Swedish pickled herring, and I really like mackerel in sushi, so I suspect I'd really like pickled mackerel.

I don't know if I've had pickled mackerel, but it sounds yummy. I certainly like mackerel both raw and cooked.
