hopefully last tonsil update went to issaquah urgent care (thank you saint wrog). doctor looked in my throat and said "oh shit," always reassuring. Diagnosis: textbook tonsillitis, possible quinsy. Gave me a big ol' shot of some nth-generation broad spectrum antibiotic, "the biggest and baddest we have," observed me for 10 minutes to make sure I didn't die, and sent me home. Said of previous doctor, "you never like to speak ill of a colleague, but were he a horse, I'd steer clear of the nether end."

Glad you found a doctor with a clue and you finally start feeling better.

I'm glad you found someone who would listen to your thoughts. I find his comment hilarious only b'c its so true! Please feel better soon.
quinsy? oh, my, haven't heard of that in years.
on nth-generation broad-spectrum antibiotic, is one still routinely advised to re-establish, rebuild one's intestinal flora?
(i recall recent upsets in that department, following antibiotic usage. was given a leaflet at vgh listing beneficial foods including sauerkraut and (!) kimchi).
good luck, anyway
yet another wish for getting well soon. the whole necrotic tonsil thing is still weirding me out, because when tissue starts *dying*, that could be bad. i'm glad you found a good doctor though.
::googles quinsy::
oi. that sounds painful.
::hugs::

Heavens.
Yeah, I'd check out the acidophilus pills if you know where to get them, but otherwise just getting better would be nice :P
Oh thank $deity! I hope you feel better STAT!
Good, sounds like you got to see somebody with a clue. Hope this actually knocks this thing out! Keep us posted.
Hope this antibiotic does the trick. Good luck.
Okay, one more(and hopefully last) time: I'm glad to hear things are somewhat better, and here's hoping things are better soon. And don't you go wasting my well-wishes by having things go south again, 'kay? :-) |
