they gave me a shot of penicillin in the ass and a scrip for Augmentin. Hopefully those will kick in at any minute.

First I read that as "neurotic tonsil," then I realized that tonsils could not go to therapy so that wasn't right.

I need to go to bed.

Feel better soon, Kathryn!

That sounds really gross, but on the other hand, it'd make a really cool band name.

NECROTIC TONSIL. It has a big purplish-black bulge on it with nasty grey-green plaques on THAT. Is so disgusting.

Necrotic as in dead? Ehhh, don't they have to get that out? Getting her tonsils out was hell but I know Layna is still glad she did it.

Apparently not, it's just part of the tonsil. My fever keeps climbing though, so we'll see.

wow. i've never had anything with "NECROTIC" in the diagnosis. that's both kind of awesome and downright terrifying.

Necrotic. Wow. Ulp!

My partner [info]jenkitty had a nasty episode with her tonsils, almost two years ago, where they drained 1 cc of fluid off of them. May not sound like much but if you've ever seen that amount in a syringe, you know it *is* a fair tad bit. Anyway - a month after that episode (and the antibiotics she had to take to swat the infection), she had her tonsils evicted by Dr. Heydt at Evergreen Hospital. She's had a *lot* fewer colds and such, since!
